Do you think Cordelia's change is believable? I've lately rewatched The Witch (BTVS 1x03) and there is a scene where she threatens Amy because she wants to become a cheerleader and she's VERY mean there. It goes even beyond the snarky comments to Willow! Then she falls in love with Xander and becomes one of the scobbies (sort of) but one could think that's not a real change because it's motivated by her feelings and maybe she rightly thinks that it's safer to have the Slayer's protection.
But on ATS Doyle gives her the power of the visions and if I remember correctly there is this one time when she could free herself of that 'gift' but she chooses not to. Do you think she became a true 'Champion' or she had other more selfish motivations and that was what made her an easy pray for Jasmine?

I like Cordelia, I think she is honest wanting to help people but she is also selfish and its possibel that she also likes to be a Champion. I mean who wouldnt right? but she accept to be half demon to avoid dying and I dont know if that a good thing to do. Ok I know my answer isnt very clear lol i guess i havnt yet made my mind on this!

Cordelia is a good girl for me. Yes, she was mean in the beginning but I think it's because she was very spoiled, but she was never bad. Her change started on Buffy, so yes, it was believable to me

I like Cordy's arc - her changes are there even though they're small. I like the way she told Buffy to lose the tude - spank her inner moppet. Yeah, she was a mean girl to start with but that mean streak got tempered by reality. Her parents lost all their money, her father ended up in jail, her acting kinda sucked. I think she missed having purpose, and that's why she hitched herself to Angel.

she accept to be half demon to avoid dying and I dont know if that a good thing to do I feel ATS is more about compromising compared to Buffy. In S7 Buffy refuses to have more powers because that would mean having a demon inside of her (well, MORE demon lol) and because she doesn't trust those men, while Cordelia accepts the offer made by a stranger and a demon one. I admit that I don't remember very well that episode, but wasn't also the prospect of becoming a sort of goddess to entice her? So, why did she accept? To become a goddess? To avoid dying? Was she stupid? vain? selfish? or was she just desperate?

Ah, but Cordy had already agreed to be part demon, so we already knew she was different from Buffy.
I don't mind the Cangel ship - I see no reason why Buffy is allowed to move on but Angel isn't - but Angel's desperation about Cordy was pretty overblown.

Angel's desperation about Cordy was pretty overblown. agreed, just like his obsession for Darla! I read somewhere a comment from one of the writers (Minear, I think?), he said that Darla was Angel's true love while Buffy had just been the rebound girl. Not that I believe it though... well I don't believe that Angel really loved Buffy either lol
