I'll tell you when I get there  about Spike I don't believe he did it to be mean, he had no reason to think Buffy would care and it's possible that he had drank too much as well. In regards of Buffy I think she was mean because she wanted to hurt him out of jealousy, and clown... I don't really know lol But just a few time before Buffy had made a pass at him so he had to know that she was thinking of him as something more than a friend, or whatever he was at the moment and he had already used the jealousy card. In hell's bells remember? that why I believe he did it on purpose but in hell's bells Spike had no soul and used that trick to see if Buffy cared about him, here he is souled and he seems to be totally blind to Buffy's feelings for him. I mean she is clearly interested but it's like he really can't see it, so it looks like he honestly wants to go on with his life. Of course he still loves her but he thinks he has no chance with her and isn't there because he has some hope or anything |
