I remember being just as shocked when I read it! I think Spike was mean to Buffy, because he has every right to do his own business but why do it at her party? under her eyes? you can see in that pic that she's disappointed and angry at the same time and I agree that she made a fool of herself, getting drunk and with Riley, in reaction to that. On the other hand I didn't like her being mean with him as well. Spike wasn't stalking her, he wasn't hiding or else so why call him stalky? and why clown? But go on reading! they will talk again of 'that night'  I'll tell you when I get there about Spike I don't believe he did it to be mean, he had no reason to think Buffy would care and it's possible that he had drank too much as well. In regards of Buffy I think she was mean because she wanted to hurt him out of jealousy, and clown... I don't really know lol But just a few time before Buffy had made a pass at him so he had to know that she was thinking of him as something more than a friend, or whatever he was at the moment and he had already used the jealousy card. In hell's bells remember? that why I believe he did it on purpose |
