Who do you think was Angel's greatest love?
On BTVS Angel tells Buffy that she is the one and only that he has ever loved and he stakes Darla without flinching but on ATS Darla comes back and it seems that she is the most important person to Angel. He becomes obsessed and tries hard to save her, even risking his own life for her. And there was a comment made by one of the writers (I think Minear) where he says that Darla is Angel's true love and Buffy was just the rebound girl. Do you think it's believable? And where does Cordelia fit in this? Angel tells her that she's the most beautiful woman he has ever seen and it's pretty clear that he cares a lot for her... but does he love her? He is quite distraught when she goes in a coma, even if just after that he goes to Buffy and asks her to go back with him.
So who's his true great love? Who do you think he would chose between the three?
